Native Tribes Map

This is a 21-1/2 x 27-1/2" map of North America displaying the boundaries of hundreds of Native American tribes.

Rivers and lakes are indicated in blue. Originally published to accompany Volume 38 of the series "University of California Publications in American Archeology and Ethnology" (1939), the map was so useful that it was made available on its own as "University of California Map Series" Number 13.

Longitude and latitude lines are printed on the ocean regions.

The map is printed on medium-weight white paper. The "cover image" displaying on this web page is a sample section of the map and represents about 1/16th of the complete map.

The map ships by itself (no case/cover), folded.
