Role of Government and NGOs for promotion of special education in coastal areas

The present study deals with educational facilities and programmes for Differently Abled in the coastal districts of Andlira Pradesh . This is a descriptive study based on the information collected from the Institutes and the particulars of successful disabled. Finally an attempt is also made to collect infonnation from the administrators i.e. Heads / Directors based on their responses to the interview schedule. Thus the present study is in the broad area of education in general and the specific area of special education in particular. Therefore this chapter starts with an introduction to education in general and specific education in particular.
