Introduction

Herbal medicines are the plant parts used by physicians since ancestral

times and they are time tested health care products that have been used by

human beings all over the world in the form of traditional. The herbal medicines

are getting popularity worldwide during the past decade due to the side effects

caused by synthetic drugs. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that

75-80% of people still rely on herbal medicine around the world, mainly in the

developing countries, for its primary health care due to its cultural acceptability,

compatibility and minimum side effects.
