Documentary telling the stories of some of the key female pioneers of British documentary making.

A selection of their films made between 1935 and 1967 are included in this collection: 'Beside the Seaside' (1935), 'Behind the Scenes' (1938), 'They Also Serve' (1940), '4 and 20 Fit Girls' (1940), 'The English Inn' (1941), 'Birth-Day' (1945), 'Homes for the People' (1945), 'Children of the Ruins' (1948), 'The Troubled Mind' (1954) and 'Something Nice to Eat' (1967).

The documentary 'Independent Miss Craigie' (2020) directed by Lizzie Thynne is also included, exploring Jill Craigie's struggles to get her films made in the 1940s and '50s.
