This novel is based on ethnographic research which means that I, the author, lived among, socialized with, rode with, and competed against, during mutually shared equestrian events, the richest of the rich plutocrats living in Western Michigan during the years when the machinations of the unpatriotic plutocrats were being formed to indoctrinate people into their extreme, right-wing, racist ideology, but had not yet found their face-man leader whom they eventually chose to be Donald Trump. Ethnographic research is the research the CIA uses to understand what is really happening and motivating people so that future events can be predicted. Whereas, the media and political pundit authors do not do ethnographic research, because it requires living among people for an extended period (years) to fully understand what is happening and be able to predict future events, I did. My ethnographic research enabled me, the author, to write a story that predicted the political violence that has occurred since Donald Trump became President that is threatening to undermine our American democracy. The reason I chose to write a novel with a story rather than a non-fiction book was to enable all readers to understand the results of my ethnographic research by being able to vicariously identify with characters and events to create a deep awareness of, and strong personal connection to, how easily one can be duped and persuaded to believe in corrupted teachings and then engage in acts that should have been recognized as corrupted, evil, and undermining to the very people who are believing in them and enacting them. The "Seeds of the Second U.S. Civil War" story walks the reader through the conversion of the protagonist, Noe Haleakua, a Medal of Honor recipient, and Afghanistan War veteran who is targeted by the plutocrat, Rolf Lambert, and Rolf's hand-picked preacher, Guy Austin Fanning, at the Rolf Lambert financed Good Day Ministries Evangelical church to become the IED expert in Rolf's paramilitary group, and ultimately commit an act of violence for Rolf's personal benefit. Five sermons are presented in the novel that take Christian Biblical scripture and twist and corrupt the traditional meaning of the scripture into premeditated, conspiratorial, fake-Christianity, mind-bending sermons to meet the goals of Rolf Lambert in his quest for more wealth and power.
