The opening ribbon has just been cut at the CRI, a state-of-the-art facility off the Southern Californian coast. Designed as a refuge for retired whales and dolphins from zoos and aquariums, the CRI boasts enormous enclosures, animal enrichment programs, and ultramodern veterinary care.
