The Sir William Arrol Collection : A Guide to the International Material Held in the National Monuments Record of Scotland

Sir William Arrol (1839-1913) was one of the great Victorian contracting engineers.

He made his name (and gained his knighthood) for the construction of the Forth Bridge, but his company was also responsible for a significant number of other prestigious engineering projects in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
