Sufficient Saving Grace : John Wesley's Evangelical Arminianism

Although John Wesley had read the writings of Arminius in his Oxford days, his emerging 'Arminianism' had its foundations in seventeenth-century Anglican theology rather than in Dutch Remonstrant theology.

This investigation demonstrates that he promoted an evangelical Arminianism that enthusiastically embraced the biblical doctrines of sin, grace, and salvation without recourse to the 'Five Points' of high Calvinism.
