When a poor bootmaker is visited by a kind elf his fortunes suddenly change…This interactive retelling of the classic The Elves and the Shoemaker, written by Alison Milford, puts the reader at the heart of the action.

Can you help the elf to make new shoes for the bootmaker to sell? Pages 22 and 23 allow children to re-visit the content of the book, supporting comprehension skills, vocabulary development and recall. Reading notes within the book provide practical support for reading with children, including a list of all the sounds and words that the book will cover.
