Who better to take us on a journey round weird and wonderful Great Britain than comedy duo Mitchell and Webb?

Their anecdotal tour guide dares to visit those off-the-wall locations the official travel guides forgot: unmissable parts of the country you never knew you wanted to visit (and probably still won't). David and Mark have hand-selected some of the nation's finest fictional Great Britons and sent them off to every nook and cranny of our strange little island, on a mission to unearth the very best alternative days out.

Popular fashion journalist Esther Voight kicks back at Bristol CitiSpa, former transport minister James Messenger discovers the rather unconventional holiday resort of Freston-on-Sea, and Dorothea Purchase, Selfridges window-dresser, explores the stately home of Lord Goring, a known Hitler fan during the war (Dorothea naturally tries to relate to this - well, who wouldn't?).
