Living in seventeenth century France, Vince has an ideal life.

His wife, Eve, is the most beautiful woman he's ever seen; they have three children, Bri, Dacian, and Amelie.

He works with the king, and he couldn't be more contented.

But Vince's perfect life is changed when he receives a mysterious request from the queen that asks for his presence.

Sensing something is awry, Vince travels to Paris, only to discover that the queen's message is a forgery.

Puzzled by the forged request, he decides to hurry back home to his family. Vince's journey turns treacherous when, along the road, he comes upon a woman who appears injured and alone.

He discovers too late that the unlucky traveler is not who she seems to be.

She attacks him, transforming him into a vampire. His situation worsens when he arrives home, delirious and in excruciating pain-only to encounter his family in his new vicious state. Banished and alone, Vince must learn a new way of life.

As a vampire, Vince meets creatures he never dreamed existed.

Together, they must strive to protect their existence.

Still haunted by his final moments with his family, Vince must learn to overcome his personal demons or else forever be haunted by his past life.
