His wise old friend Tree reveals each day to Grasshopper as a unique and wonder-filled experience.

They are joined by a host of lovable visitors who crash, snore, wiggle and sing their way into Grasshopper's week.

The characters are based on New Zealand native wildlife, adding another level of interest to the story.

Author Tania Norfolk says she is inspired by the immediacy of the child's world: 'Renaming the days of the week within the story is a way of reflecting this.' Grasshopper's Week highlights the wonder in the everyday and the natural world around us.

The book is the first collaboration for the sister/brother team.
