Murder-Oke! : and Other Spooky Cape May Tales

See all formats and editions

This is a delightful concoction of weird and wonderful stories, set in the beautiful beach town of Cape May, NJ, America's oldest resort.

In the title story (already optioned for movie rights and featured on NPR and the front page of "The Philadelphia Inquirer"), a deranged serial killer preys on karaoke singers and throws Cape May's mayor into a panic.

In "The Celestrial", a spooky dinner theatre with an old elevator takes people to destinations unknown. "The Five Stages of Death" is pulp fiction at its best, with plenty of laughs thrown in.

An actor watches as everyone around him is brutally, and mistakenly, murdered by a psycho who only wants to kill HIM! And in "The Reindeer, the Elf and the Attic Vent", a drunken elf unwittingly kidnaps three kids from their home on Christmas Eve and sets off chaos at SantaCorp.

The anthology finishes off with "The Jetty", the strange story of one man's out-of-body experience at the jetty in Cape May.

These compelling "Cape May" stories, by "Exit Zero" magazine columnist Terry O Brien, really will make you laugh and cry.

We almost guarantee it!
