Information technology, electronics and communications (ITEC) will be one of the biggest industries in the world by the year 2000 and the UK is well placed to become a leading player in the next generation.

This report, prepared by the Technology Foresight Panel on IT and Electronics, focuses attention on what needs to be done to ensure that the UK attracts investment in the future to support growth in the information technology, electronics and communications sector to represent 10% of UK GDP within ten years.
