Not finding relief in traditional medicine, many people in the United States began trying alternative therapies and getting good results. Alternative medicine puts more emphasis on prevention and allowing the body to heal itself. It has been used on its own and in conjunction with traditional medicine.

To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added.
