People and Projects in Development is more than a directory of the key role players and projects in development: it is rather an exercise in documenting the vital activities of South Africa at work on itself.

The directory consists of introductory chapters by leading figures in the development field in South Africa and a listing of development-related organisations involved in the South African development process.
