Conditions are separated into eight sections. Chapters contain relevant epidemiology maps, histopathologic illustrations, improved laboratory tests and examples of modern diagnostic screening.

Parasitic life-cycle illustrations, as well as photographs and tables of clinical features and macro- and microscopy of causative agents, vectors, etc, are also integrated throughout the text.
