This is the never-before-told story of the organized efforts by Polish-Americans to further the humanitarian needs and political independence aspirations of the people of Poland.

From the mid-1800s to today, they have helped in the Poles' struggles to regain and preserve their independence in the face of extraordinary obstacles and have made significant contributions to the democratic revolution which is going on today throughout Eastern Europe.
