Creaticity : creative expressions in contemporary cities

Creaticity collects together the diverse urban creative expressions now springing up all over the world, from New York, Barcelona, Beijing, Rotterdam, Beirut, Paris and Chicago to Penang, London and Seoul.

The book casts light on a new artistic outlook being laid down around the public space, which in the process creates citizens creatively committed to their cities, inhabitants who go from being passive observers to active agents right where they live.

We're talking here about a new class of citizen and artist, one that gets involved with the city, and places their beautiful creativity at its service.

Creaticity seeks to draw attention to the work of these new urban warriors, whose actions destroy all barriers and promote a real appropriation of public space: urban and plastic artists, sculptors, acrobats, architects, performers, artivists, critics, guerrillas, spontaneous agents of creativity enacted with wit, extravagance and daring.
