ABSTRACT The present study is an attempt to examine the role stress dimensions in Central Industrial Security Force personnel. The reason behind is, unlike the other work forces the CISF force have multiple roles and they must be geared to meet expected and unexpected emergencies for unspecified periods of time. A culmination of these pressures has resulted in increasing stress on a day to day basis. The objectives of the study was to examine the organizational role stress among Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, to find out the significant differences between the organizational role stress and demographical variables and to find out the relationship between the organizational role stress and physical health problems of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel. The total sample was 500 CISF personnel. Male sample included 466 and Female sample were 36. Organizational role stress scale (ORS) was used for the study developed by Uday Pareek (1982). And a demographic questionnaire developed by the researcher was also used. This study is a quantitative study utilizing survey research methods to attain its intentions. Random sampling technique was used. The collected responses after scoring were tabulated and interpreted by the following statistical procedures such as Mean, standard deviation, ttest, one-way ANOVA, Post Hoc Tests and Multiple correlations computed by means of SPSS 10'^ version.
