Sir Peter David Gluckman, KNZM, FRS, FMedSc, FRSNZ (born 1949) is a New Zealand scientist who is the first Chief Science Advisor to the New Zealand Prime Minister.

He is Professor of Paediatric and Perinatal Biology and past-Director of the National Research Centre for Growth and Development at the University of Auckland.

He was formerly Head of the Department of Paediatrics and Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences and was founding Director of the Liggins Institute.
