Ron Scot Fry was the entertainment and artistic director of the Bristol Renaissance Faire from 1989 until 2008.

He is also a college professor, a writer, director, artist and performer, as well as a resident of Wisconsin.

He has two children. "Ron Scot Fry is an important figure in the growth of the American renaissance faire movement in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.

His strong hand in the creation of a vast network of street theater improvisers, devoted to Ron's vision of an interactive Elizabethan experience was instrumental in the movement's success.

Under Fry's tutelage entire generations of professional performers were trained in detail how to create the feel of a Renaissance village as well as connect with and entice the viewing public to join in actively.

Fry carried his methods beyond the Bristol Faire, opening Faires in other parts of the country including Virginia and Southern California."
