This is a story of the corruption of a people. It appears on the day of the American election, 8 Nov 2022. Couched in David Ben-Gurion's response to the birth of modern Israel and its aftermath, Israel today is not what it was, just as what it was was not what it was from the mixing of seed from Egypt, the wheat and the tares before and after the mixing from Babylon, during and after the mixing of Europe, the second temple, the first temple, the wandering exodus from the Erev rev mixed multitude that left Egypt, and among the patriarchs. Read as a parable of the modern the mixed seed is a history of ourselves. Ben-Gurion, the primary national founder of the State of Israel and its first prime minister here bears the burden faces the guilt and blame for what Gideon or Samson or Moses or David or Solomon or Ezra did or did not. He begins his defense in a letter to an unknown lady to delineate the chief cause of these troubles, lust, the mixed seed, tares among the wheat. He is a well read man and artist so cites the evangelist Vincent Van Gogh's wheat fields in this and he knows the Frankfurt school as much as the Dadaist as he traverses with Walter Benjamin that colossal journey over the Pyrenees in flight from the Nazi along with the whole genre of the new angel, and consults Bunuel in consideration whether the angels were "devil or angel, I can't make up my myynde." He might have cited Rabelais in this brush with Balaam and the corruption of Israel in the wilderness, but he does consider Jacob wrestling the angel at the ford and skipping his stone over the water understands that the heavenly mecha of the Neon Genesis Evangelion Little Boy bomb was a counterfeit prophecy of the heavenly come to earth. Balaam's attempt to alienate the people from their supernatural sustenance by disobedience was the corruption of the seed, DNA, and as Noah was the last human seed left in Genesis six, we are still challenged by the genes and acts of the Oleander mischwessen governing class from ancient middle east and into the moderngovernance and corruption of Israel's betrayals in this latter day, but we're not talking about Israel any more, but ourselves as the corruption of woman travails throughout among people compromised in the wilderness where the state owns the religion of the heart and mind. Henry Miller's essay on Rimbaud is taken at the end is taken as a repentance as modern Balaams and their overlords, professors, corporates take over entire fields to themselves to arrange an ever greater mixing of Wheat and Tares. Maturation of the wheat head is a principle of divine agriculture wrestling the enemy who sows the tares. and the tares that imitate such beautiful counterfeits that only angels can tell them apart. Let both grow until harvest and then bind the tares in bundles but gather the wheat into the barn. When the Wheat, which must first exude a milky substance like sweet corn before it ripens, pass the milk stage, and can be punctured without oozing, then the harvest begins. Stop oozing! This "orient and immortal wheat" (Traherne) was meant to reaped! As the wheat matures to a hard head the angel discerns the differences of Balaam, Ben Gurion, Bunuel, Benjamin, Maimonides, Rimbaud, Jacob and Van Gogh.
