"Foreign Law" is a looseleaf service citing the main sources of law for countries outside the United States and providing access to key areas of law vital to international practice.

This volume, the first of three, covers the Western hemisphere.

Volume Two looks at Eastern and Western Europe including the countries of the EC, and Volume Three covers Asia, Australasia and Africa.

Sections within each volume are arranged alphabetically by country and each section begins with an introduction which describes the country's legal system and sources.

It also lists the major English-language books on the laws of that country.

The principle laws for each country are gathered under major subject headings such as taxation, banking, company law, finance, insurance and investment.

The volumes are updated a minimum of once a year.
