Many are unaware that when some oil companies aren't selling oil, they're working to save the earth. "Passions and Patience" is a compilation of stories of unlikely collaboration including stories such as "Shell Oil" and "Daimler Benz" working on a project to produce hydrogen fuel in Iceland, as well as hunters and artists working together to save ducks.

What we don't hear about are the stories of collaboration where opposing forces work together for the common good. "Passions and Patience" is a collection of such stories, researched at great length by author Karen Roberts and vividly illustrated through the striking photographs of renowned photographer Tim Hauf.

What we don't know is that some of the organisations we normally consider to be archenemies are often working together for the common good. This book brings these stories to our attention and creates awareness of the improvements being made to save the earth.
