The Winning of the West Vol. IV—Louisiana and the Northwest, 1791–1807  (1889) is the last part of Theodore Roosevelt’s four-volume exciting saga about the settling of the American West. Many considered this Roosevelt's most important book.

Volume IV focuses on the Indian Wars of 1784–1787, on statehood for Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio, and on the peace treaties with Spain and the United Kingdom.
