Philip's foundation atlas (7th ed)

This atlas has been fully revised and is intended for National Curriculum Key Stage 3 pupils.

The British Isles section contains information on climate, geology, food, energy, travel, leisure, trade and other topics.

Satellite imagery, aerial photography, topographic and thematic maps are all employed to aid learning.The World section similarly includes topographic maps along with thematic charts and diagrams explaining climate, environment and more.

The atlas feature five pages of introductory information about maps, explaining scales, distance measuring, latitude and longtitude and map projections.

Larger scale maps of Russia, Japan, Nigeria, Ghana and the US are also included for project work.
