We'll support you evermore : the impertinent saga of Scottish fitba'

Seeking to reflect the special love of football that the Scottish have, the editors of this volume invited some prominent Scottish journalists, authors and poets to write about their memories of the "gemme", the high and low spots as they remembered them.

The journalists include John Rafferty, Ian Archer, Hugh Taylor and John Mackenzie, formerly with newspapers such as "The Scotsman", "The Herald", and the "Daily Record".

Well-known Scottish poets Tom Leonard, Alan Bold and Tom McGrath are featured alongside novelists Alan Sharp and Gordon Williams.

Together they evoke the magic legends, the memories from the heroic past: the Wembley Wizards, the Famous Five, Torry Gillick, Third Lanark, the Terrible Trio, and Jim Baxter.
