MV Augusta : The New Era

After an absence from the scene lasting fully 20 years, MV Agusta returned to the limelight in 1997 with a product of extraordinary appeal, the F4 750, "the world's most beautiful bike", as an advertising slogan of the time read.

The immense popular and critical success enjoyed by a model that became an instant classic, a cult object that generated numerous special versions, was sadly not sufficient to allow the firm from Cascina Costa to rest easy.

The death of Claudio Castiglioni, in 2017, and the various changes of ownership meant that the marque was frequently navigating troubled waters.

Nonetheless, MV found renewed impetus in 2018 after coming under the control of the Sardarov family.

The most recent history of one of the greatest marques of motorcycling is deserving of this prestigious book that on the one hand narrates the story and places the MV brand within the historical context of the last few years, while on the other reviewing the entire output of the firm, from the birth of the to the advent of the F3, Brutale and Rivale families and through to the Superveloce and Dragster models.

The texts have been written by Giorgio Sarti, a doyen of motorcycle history, while the illustrations have been drawn directly from the MV archives
