Song of the Shapeshifter

It wasn't Sam's eyes that gave her away, it was her blood.

As a traveling violinist, Sam has the perfect cover: she's just another face in the crowd. Apart from her persistent golden eyes, she's completely normal. No one suspects her of being a shapeshifter.

No one except Ictus.

Sam thinks Ictus is just paranoid until an attempt is made on her life. Now a clan of assassins trail their every move. As Ictus guides Sam's steps, she wants to believe that she can rely on him. But Ictus insists that she can't trust him, and those eyes of his look awfully hungry.

When the two find refuge with a group of seasoned warriors, otherworldly forces step in and Sam learns that her role in the world is far more complicated and deadly than she ever imagined.
