1) Owing to the scattering of results it will in future be necessary to perform a larger number of the same tests to realize by this the amount of scattering.

From experience with the statistical evaluation of soil properties it is known that the scattering is dependent upon the type of soil. 2) The results have shown that for further measurements the smallest possible loading stress deviator or the smallest possible deviator voltage ratio must be put up.

For certain stresses large immediate settlements take place.

By this, the conditions of measurement are basically altered. 3) To determine the immediate settlements it is expedient to plot the results in a logarithmic scale as a function of the time. 4) To determine the elastic properties of soils it is expedient to include in the testing a repeated decompression and reapplication of load. 5) To judge whether as a function of the magnitude of the stress deviator a damped or undamped creep is concerned, an adequate time of observation must be chosen. 6) To obtain a general survey on the rheological properties of the soil, a suitable stress deviator must be chosen in order to register all essential phases of the creep. 7) To observe the creep - this particularly applies to the initial phase - it is better to apply the whole load at the very beginning. 8) For the isotropic consolidation it is necessary to measure beside the volume change the axial resp. biaxial deformations.
