Learning to manage : a good practice guide to training for tenant management organisations

The "Right to Manage" allows housing tenants of local authorities in England and Wales to set up tennant management organizations (TMOs).

A TMO takes on a package of housing management responsibilities for a particular housing area or estate after entering into a management agreement with the local authority.

A series of three books has been published to guide local authorities, agencies and tenants through the various TMO processes.

This guide has been written for tenants who are developing a TMO.

It looks at what people need to learn to run a TMO and guides them through the process of carrying out an effective training programme.
