The state, industrialization and class formations in India: a Neo-Marxist perspective on colonialism, underdevelopment and development

The purpose of this book is to probe the nature of the state in India and the role played by it in the evolution of the social economy, particularly in the growth of industry.

In fact, the problematic of the state and its relationship with socio-economic progression or regression is a dialectic process.

What this book does is attempt to unravel this dialectic, by following the theory and method of Maxism.
