Watching You, Watching Me : Consultation Skills and Summative Assessment in General Practice (New ed)

This package is a training resource for general practice trainers and registrars designed to assist them in: addressing the issues surrounding the teaching, understanding, practice and assessment of consultation skills in general practice; and preparing for the summative assessment of minimal consultation competence that is now a compulsory part of vocational training.

The package comprises two video cassettes and a large-format workbook.

The first video covers the technical pitfalls of video recording and provides a range of consultations containing obvious failures, mediocrity and clear passes.

The second video contains examples of consultations covering more of the problems commonly found in analyzing summative assessment video submissions.

They are based on "real life" consultations and reflect a spread of registrars' abilities.

The workbook complements the videos.
