The pilgrim spirit

Many of us are attracted by the thought of pilgrimage.

This beautiful book encourages us to reflect on its meaning and to see our lives as a journey of discovery.

After a short introduction, it is divided into 9 sections: Setting Out; The Road; The Resting Place; The Pilgrim's Load; Transformation; The Valley of Shadows; Wild Places; Following the Footsteps; and, The Return.

The author combines her own text with quotations from a range of writers through the ages.

The book is illustrated with evocative colour photographs of pilgrim ways and sites around the world - including Santiago de Compostela, Lourdes, Iona and St Peter's Square in Rome - as well as landscapes reflecting our search for truth and inspiration.
