Learning about shape : photocopiable activities

This text provides photocopiable maths activities for three-to-five year-olds beginning to learn about shapes.

All the activities require the use of familiar resources such as paint, glue, string and scissors.

They give experience of naming, comparing and matching shapes, and of understanding the relationship between 2-D and 3-D shapes.

Teachers' notes highlight how to make the most of each sheet.

All the activities are also suitable for older children with special needs.
