Molecular and Cellular Endocrine Pathology

This work combines the traditional morphological approaches to endocrine pathology with new molecular and cellular information, integrating the two standards to present a means of diagnosis using a combination of classic and modern techniques.

Each endocrine gland is discussed in separate chapters, with a description of embryology, anatomy and histology, and physiology from a molecular standpoint.

Emphasis will is immunocytochemical and molecular markers, and how they are used for differential diagnosis.

The pathology of each lesion is followed by an explanation of clinical correlations, and what is known regarding the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the disease.This book should be of particular interest to endocrine pathologists, and also to general pathologists, clinical endocrinologists, residents/fellows in endocrine pathology, and PHD's researching in this area.
