Geordie Newcastle is a unique collection of evocative photographs from a golden age in Newcastle's past.

The result of hours of research in Newcastle City Library's archive to restore photographs from the original glass plates which hadn't been touched for decades.

From the end of the 19th Century to the 1950s, the pictures chosen offer us a glimpse into a world that some of us will remember with fondness and that helped shape what it means to be a Geordie today.
