Kris Kristofferson : The Untold Story

Kristoffer "Kris" Kristofferson, born on June 22nd, 1936, Brownsville, Texas, U.S., is an actor and singer-songwriter, who wrote and recorded the songs "Me and Bobby McGee", "For the Good Times", "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down", and "Help Me Make It Through the Night".

Kristofferson both composed his own songs and collaborated with Nashville songwriters, including Shel Silverstein.

Kristofferson joined fellow country artists Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash during 1985, in forming the country music supergroup The Highwaymen, having also formed a key creative force in the Outlaw country music movement that eschewed the Nashville music machine, in favour of independent songwriting and producing.

Kris was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame during 2004.

He's also known for his starring roles in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Heaven's Gate, Blade and A Star Is Born, for which he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
