Geology of the Eastern Snake River Plain : Part II: Craters of the Moon National Monument and the Great Rift Field Excursions

Geology of the Eastern Snake River Plain Part II presents two field excursions into several volcanic rift zones which make up the Great Rift of Idaho.

Field Excursion I starts at Idaho Falls to Craters of the Moon National Monument exploring features along the route.

The field trip ends at North Robbers Lava Field. Field Excursion II extends the first field trip into features associated with the Southern Great Rift which presents bimodal magmatism, tectonics, and geomorphic processes through visiting Kings Bowl and the Wapi Lava Field.

The trip returns back to Pocatello from Minidoha, Idaho.
