The Spanish painter Joan Miro (1893-1983) is one of the major figures of twentieth-century art.

He belonged to the generation of avant-garde artists active in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s, becoming associated particularly with the Surrealist movement.

In this film he discusses his creative process with the painter and critic Roland Penrose.
