Cultural diplomacy and cultural imperialism: European perspective(s)

This book aims to contribute to the debate on European cultural policy and cultural diplomacy as well as to fill in the gap that exists in this under-researched field.

Europe is still struggling in formulating its common cultural policy that will present Europe as a united and diverse entity to the world while the EU Member States invest efforts in promoting themselves only.

This volume examines individual practices in 10 selected cases while the introduction study outlines main features of the EU cultural diplomacy.
