Laura is the middle child of the Cohen family. Her older brother left for the Army right after high school. After discharge, he settled in Dallas, Texas and began his own business with his best friend and met the love of his life. Her younger sister just graduated college and began her career as a nurse in Dallas, Texas, following their brother. She also met the love of her life there and is set to get married in a few weeks. A wedding Laura will be going to alone. Again. Unlike her siblings, she's never dreamed of moving away or doing her own thing. She loves her hometown. She loves her family bakery. But...it can be lonely. And she always wanted to have the bakery and a family of her own.

Blake is new in town. He followed his dream after high school, going to college and starting his own business. But that life in the big city wasn't what he always thought it would be. So he sold his company and went looking for something that would give him the small town life like he grew up with, but with much warmer weather. What he found is a town that feels like home and a bakery he can't seem to stay away from. Or, more precisely, one of the bakers in the bakery he can't stay away from.

But would she give him a real chance at a relationship? Or would he only ever be the wedding date he volunteered to be? Can she believe he would stick around or will he grow bored with small town life and leave again? After all, not even the local boys stuck around.

This is a bonus novella to the Coming Home Dallas series. It involves the sister to two characters who are a part of the main series and is therefore best read after "Forever with Josh" and "Building a Future with Ryker" but can also be read as a standalone or without any other books from the series.
