Houses Floating By is both whimsical and mysterious.

Take some time and go on a journey of discovery through a black-and-white pencil world that is more colorful than you might suspect.

The illustrations engage through the logic of dream and association, encouraging the reader to create her own stories, while imagining various possibilities. Einar Turkowski grew up in a small town near Kiel, Germany.

His first book, It was Dark and Eerily Quiet, received several international awards.

All of his work is created using graphite pencils.
