Yorkshire from Above

Situated in the heart of northern England between Sheffield and Manchester, the Peak District became the UK?s first National Park in 1951.

It is an area of opposites ? the dark moors of the north contrasting with the more gentle green farmland with its familiar stone-built walls to the south.

But within this relatively small area lies great variety, from the dramatic moorland so loved by walkers to the elegant spa town of Buxton and the grandeur of historic homes such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall.
