Spunkie's Magical Garden is a book about little animals who are afraid to drink water from the pond because of a mean, hungry alligator.

A wizard named Monti Squibbel who has a pet cat named Puddin and a pet mouse named Skwappy comes to the rescue after Dodie, the cow, calls him to help all of the little animals.

The wizard puts a spell on Gumby the alligator and tells him he must eat a carrot from the magical garden or else turn into a rock.

Gumby tries to eat the carrot but spits it out because he would rather go eat something from the pond.

A mole named Mr. Noble digs his way up next to Gumby and tells him that the wizard's spell is real.

The magical garden is full of vegetables, magic and fairies who watch over the garden and sprinkle magic dust over the vegetables.

Mr. Noble tells Gumby that he should go back and eat the carrot and that he will also make many new friends if he will just go eat the carrot.

This is a friendship story that any child will love to read and the pictures are very cute.
