This Mock Exam accompanies the CSA Cases Workbook and allows readers to set up and practise their own mock CSA exam. 13 new cases are provided, along with instructions on how to co-ordinate a full exam to ensure trainees are fully prepared for the big day.

All cases follow the style of the practice consultations in the main Workbook: * information for the doctor - this page provides the doctor with a brief summary of their patient * information for the patient - this page provides all the background information (including ICE, information divulged freely and information only divulged if specifically asked about) to allow the person in your group to 'act' as the patient; on the back of this page are any results and examination findings that you can provide to the doctor if they ask for it appropriately * marking scheme for the observer - this page provides the observer in your group with a simple checklist of positive and negative descriptors in each of the three domains (data gathering, clinical management and interpersonal).

For convenience, all cases can simply be slotted into your existing Workbook. Reader reviews of CSA Cases Workbook for the MRCGP: "I'm an ST3 who has just passed my CSA.

In my group, we've been practising for nearly 3 months and got through a total of 4 different books of cases and other resources and this workbook was by FAR the MOST useful and most representative of the degree of difficulty of the actual cases in the CSA...If you are going to get 1 book of cases to work for the CSA - get this one!!" "It is clear this is a heavily researched and polished resource.

The authors have tailored its format with great skill to give concise, practical and high yield preparation for the CSA.

One of the must have preparation texts for a CSA group.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough, and will be doing so to my trainees." "This is an excellent book for CSA preparation and I would recommend it to all trainees preparing for the CSA.

It is unique from other books in that it has a large number of cases, all of which are split into GP Curriculum headings.

It is cleverly laid out in separate pages in a folder so that everyone involved (doctor, patient, observer) have their own sheet...Highly recommended book for CSA preparation!""Simply an excellent book, it was the most useful revision tool out of all revision aids we used in our CSA revision group - the cases are very similar to the level in the CSA exam...I also found the list of potential cases good to fill in the gaps of my revision.

It is written by GPs who recently passed who understand that the key to passing is practicing lots of cases."
