These copymasters provide examples of all the spelling patterns taught in Programme Two.

They are useful as a quick reference guide which children can add to, or as a teaching tool for explaining spelling patterns in a visual way.The 48 photocopiable sheets in this book are an ideal resource for the word level strand of the National Literacy Strategy at the end of Year 1 and thoughout Year 2 and beyond.

Each sheet provides examples of words with the relevant phoneme picture coded.

This helps children to identify the spelling pattern from the outset and then go on to collect their own words relating to that phoneme.
