Axle and Rodney are two old cars rusting away on Farmer John's field. But they don't care because they have each other. That is, until one terrible day when a big, mean-looking tow truck takes Axle away. Poor Rodney is left sad and alone, but then one day a big, stinky, old tow truck comes for him, too!

Rodney finds himself at an auto shop, where workers start taking him apart. They are going to sell my parts and turn me into soup cans! he thinks. But happily, Rodney and Axle's story doesn't end there and soon something amazing happens...
