Little green data book 2003

The World Bank's mission is to fight poverty for lasting results.

Enhancing environmental quality, improving natural resource management and maintaining global ecosystems are all important steps towards this goal.

Better environmental management can improve people's livelihood, health and security. "The Little Green Data Book" is intended to be a step in this direction.

It is a collection of data from the world Development Indicators 2003 with a focus on the environment.

The book presents key indicators on the environment under the headings of agriculture, forestry, biodiversity, energy, emission and pollution, and water and sanitation for more than 200 countries.
